Overview:
At OnPoint, the Clinical OR Specialist provides clinical, technical and product knowledge support to existing and potential customers. Builds and maintains solid customer relationships and provides customer training at all levels. Is responsible for key customer reports as required to support OnPoint Surgical.
This is a field-based role. Looking for the following areas in order of priority.

Clinical OR Specialist Levels
Clinical OR I
- 0 – 2 years experience
- Associate’s Degree or relevant certificate
Clinical OR II
- 3 – 5 years clinical experience
- Operating Room
- Navigation or RT experience desirable
- Associate’s Degree or higher, relevant certificate
Clinical OR III
- 5+ years clinical experience
- Operating Room
- Navigation or RT experience desirable
- Associate’s Degree or relevant certificate
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Coordinate, support, and collaborate with distributors and OnPoint team members for on-site installations with our customers.
- Represent OnPoint during technology-enabled procedures to provide technical assistance.
- Recruit and train new surgeon users at installation sites.
- Maintain system hardware and software to maximize system performance.
- Install software and hardware upgrades.
- Perform system preventative maintenance.
- Provide telephone clinical support to customers.
- Act as the primary OnPoint customer liaison for repair and technical support issues.
- Provide timely information to the OnPoint leadership team regarding customer concerns, issues, and market opportunities.
- Report necessary complaints and partners with leadership to ensure full resolution.
- Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel – OR, Radiology, Central Sterile Processing, Biomedical and Information Technologies – on technical matters relating to OnPoint Technology.
- Provide a clinical resource for surgeons, clinicians and others being trained.
- Participate in in-house sponsored customer training at designated sites for both internal and external partners.
- Provide training and resources for hospital staff and distributor partners to enable them to conduct training for their personnel (train the trainer).
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed.
- Provide input on new product development based on in-field experience.
Physical Job Requirements
- Required to function using healthcare universal precautions to minimize exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
- Ability to serve as the primary resource for scheduled and unscheduled clinical events, periodically required to work weekends, evenings, and nights.
- Travel up to 75% with overnight stays.
- Ability to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction when outside of clinical events.
- Ability to wear a 7-9 lbs. protective lead apron for extended periods of time in the operating room.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 8+ hours per day.
- Ability to bend/ stoop, squat, and balance frequently.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in relation to travel and operating a personal computer.
- Ability to wear and use augmented reality headsets.
Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy.
