Sales Operations Manager

Overview:

As a Sales Operations Manager for OnPoint Surgical, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team. You will be responsible for managing various sales-related processes, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities, and implementing strategies to improve sales performance. You will be actively involved in negotiating terms and conditions with hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You will report to the
CFO with a dotted line to the VP of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and streamline sales processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness including quotes and contracts.
  • Implement best practices for lead generation, qualification, and
    conversion.
  • Coordinate with sales team and distributors to ensure smooth execution of sales strategies. Review all quotes for accuracy prior to being sent to client.
  • Assist with review of hospital contracts and related documentation.
  • Implementing and manage CRM tools to maximize opportunities and customer relationships.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges.
  • Generate regular reports on sales performance, including key metrics such as pipeline development, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts by distributor and sales rep.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop sales forecasts and goals.
  • Monitor progress towards sales targets and adjust strategies as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Assist in developing sales budgets and resource allocation plans.
  • Evaluate and recommend sales tools and technology platforms to enhance productivity and performance.
  • Participate in the recruiting, hiring and training of the sales/distributor team members on the use of sales tools and ensure proper utilization.
  • Serve as a liaison between the sales team and IT department for system enhancements or troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, and other departments to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment of sales and marketing efforts, including lead generation and nurturing activities.
  • Partner with finance to track sales performance against financial goals and budgets.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team.
  • Provide coaching and support to sales representatives to help them achieve their targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years in sales operations, sales management, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales-related tools.
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales metrics based on CRM data and preparation of weekly and monthly sales reports for management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing weekly and monthly sales calls.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members towards achieving sales goals.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting and planning processes.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement sales strategies effectively.
  • Prior experience within the medical device industry preferred.
